Abby's
are one of the most popular breeds and are very intelligent as well !
They are rated one of the most
docile breeds of the domestic cats . They are very beautiful,graceful,muscular,and
curious.They will for sure throughly investigate every room of your home and some can even open doors. Abby's have the look of those found in Egyptian Temples.They have maintained the old world look
down through the centuries of the first of all domesticated cats , the African Wild cat ! Every-time we look at the Abby's we cant believe how much they
remind us of "miniature mountain lions" !
They are very loving but on their terms . They would not be
my first choice for a child's cat.
They will sit on your lap when they want to but do not like to be restrained
or held in any way.They do really enjoy being petted though !
Abby's do make a wonderful companion and will want
to be with you where ever you are.
They are certainly clowns of the cat world with their acrobatic shows that they
enjoy putting on for No reason what so ever ,LOL. Abbys dont
really "talk" much and most only purr very little.
Their body is a medium length with nicely developed muscles.The legs
are slender , paws are oval and small,long tail broad at the base and tapering at the tip.Head is broad and wedge shaped,almond
shaped eyes being gold,green,copper or hazel in color.The coat is medium length and feels like silk.
Kittens are born with dark coats that lighten as they mature. It takes
several months for them to get there final coat color.
Some Abby's are very shy around strangers and in public.They
have quiet voices and love heights. If you feel that the Abyssinian
