The Bengal breed is one of the newer
breeds to be recognized by the T.I.C.A , IN 1963
Our Bengals
are T.I.C.A Registered Bengals have that wild exotic look but they
are such sweethearts, so loving,unique and entertaining ! Bengal cats evolved
from the crossing of the small Asian Leopard cat x domestic short hair cat such as the Abyssinian, Burmese,Siamese
or the American short haired cat . Bengals come in a very wide range of
coat colors.Colors range from a very light tan,orange,brown and accented with bold majestic stripes,spots and sometimes
glitter .Then there is the almost black to the almost white snow leopard.
Patterns on the Bengals usually become
darker as the kitten/cat matures & gets older. Most of them have a fur pelt with
very little shedding !

Patterns :
There
are two varieties of Bengal patterns:
The Spotted and The Marbled.
Spotted pattern comes in endless tones
and shades of the accepted Bengal colors.Spots differ in size from small to large size and some even many have rosettes
in different shapes.
Marble patterns show up like a swirl ,a horizontal flow is preferred.
Puffy whisker pads,with dark rings around their tail ,they are such a breath taking pet !
Bengals reach physical maturity in a year but stay very energetic, playful and kitten
like for a long long time.
Bengals are a very popular breed.
The marbled,snow marbled and snow leopard are
still a little hard to find at times.
They also have No Breed specific health problems Bengals
have that Awesome Exotic Wild look and are powerful,muscular,Graceful and very energetic.
Most Bengals have a fondness
to playing in the water and are great swimmers. They can spend hours playing in their water dish washing their feet in it,
they prefer a nice generous big bowl of it ! Some Bengals have even been known to jump in a bubble bath with their owners
or in the shower.They also love watching and playing in running faucet water ! They
enjoy playing with their toys and playing hide n seek. They love to be where u
are, so when you turn out those lights at night.....You might just as well make room in the bed ,because your Bengal will
surely come a running because he thinks he belongs right next to you. They are
full of love and become very emotionally attached to their owner/owners.
Most of them are great companions,social,vocal,friendly
and also very Loyal and Devoted. Some
Bengals are frightened of young children and other ones just adore Lil ones,they all are individual and have their own
personality just as we all do.
The Bengals are the only breed I know of that will stare you down with lots of eye contact
.They are very intelligent and think very well alone or also with one of the Bengal friends . Bengals are rated as one of the top intelligent cats.
They can even be taught to fetch and even
walk on a leash and perform other tricks as well. Bengals are very humorous and
entertaining,loves their toys,follows you around,very vocal by nature,will greet family and loved ones at the door,makes friendships
with other cats,dogs and animals. Many Bengal's have a glitter gene that give their coat
a Stunning iridescent glow.
